As many as seven bridge-cum-barrages were submerged in Belagavi district after heavy rain in South Maharashtra and parts of Belagavi district on Sunday.
Vehicular traffic on the bridge-cum-barrages on the Krishna and the Dudhaganga rivers was stopped.
Commuters were asked to take alternative routes.
Bridge-cum-barrages in Kallol-Yadoor, Malikawad-Dattawad, Karadaga-Bhoj, Bhojawadi-Kunnur, Koganolli, Jatrata-Bhivashi and Akkol-Sidnal were submerged.
The water level in the Krishna at Kallol Barrage in Belagavi district is increasing following rainfall in Karnataka and Maharashtra on Sunday.

Direct connectivity between these villages has been temporarily cut-off, while roads connecting them using circuitous routes are open for traffic.
Officers said that the inflow from Maharashtra into the Krishna and other rivers has increased slightly due to the rainfall in Maharashtra.
They estimated around 60,000 cusecs of water to enter Karnataka by Sunday midnight.
Meanwhile, Minister Satish Jarkiholi visited the Dhupdal reservoir to inspect water levels on Sunday.
He visited the water body near Ghataprabha and discussed various issues with irrigation and revenue officers. He asked them to manage the reservoir to ensure that there are no flash floods.
As the monsoon picked up in the last few days, inflow into the Hiranyakeshi and Ghataprabha rivers has increased significantly with around 8,000 cusecs of water flowing into the reservoir, he said.
He said that around 1,000 cusecs of water is being released through the Ghataprabha Left Bank Canal since Sunday morning.
The officials concerned have been instructed to increase the water flow to 2,000 cusecs by evening, he said.
This will help provide irrigation facilities to about 2 lakh hectares of agricultural land which will greatly benefit farmers, he added.
He, however, advised farmers to use the available water sparingly and adequately.
Assistant Executive Engineer Dundappa Jokanatti, Irrigation Consultative Committee member Ashok Khandratti, officers and leaders were present.
