Minister for Roads and Buildings B.C. Janardhan Reddy, on Monday (June 8, 2026), asked the party cadre and leaders to be vigilant regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), as the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders are attempting to delete genuine voters and register bogus ones.

“The party leaders must stay alert to such issues in addition to focusing on administration and development,” he said, speaking at a meeting organised in Nandyal to mark the two-year rule of the alliance government. Addressing the party leaders and cadre, the Minister stated that the previous five years saw a ‘demonic rule’ characterised by the destructive actions of the YSRCP.

“Today, the State is witnessing a governance of development under the alliance government. We are fulfilling every promise made to the people, despite financial constraints. Opposition parties have claimed that the ‘Super Six’ schemes could not be implemented, but we have successfully implemented them,” he said.

Highlighting the welfare as well as development initiatives of the alliance government, he alleged that the previous government completely crippled the Panchayat Raj Department and failed to take up most basic infrastructure work in the villages. “We have constructed approximately 4,000 kilometres of CC (cement concrete) roads in the villages,” he said.

When it comes to the Roads & Buildings Department, the Minister said they have repaired 27,000 kilometres of roads, making them pothole-free, in just six months. He said the previous government had completely neglected the development of ports and airports, while Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has put the ports and airports projects back on track soon after assuming office.

Mr. Janardhan Reddy said they are ready for a debate on welfare and development comparing the past with the present, at any venue. The Minister said the NDA government had allocated funds for the Gorakallu Lift Irrigation project in Rayalaseema as it was sincere in developing Rayalaseema region and also assured that the government will complete the Alaganuru project.

Asking the party cadre and leaders to ensure victory of the party in the local body elections, Mr. Janardhan Reddy said every party worker has the responsibility to visit every household and explain the government’s performance.
