The makers of Chiranjeevi’s upcoming movie with Bobby Kolli has gone on floors. The movie, tentatively titled Mega 158,is produced by KVN Productions of Jana Nayaganand Toxicfame.
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan graced the launch of the event. The actor clapped the board to signal the film’s beginning during a pooja ceremony at the Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad on May 21, 2026 (Thursday).
Malayalam actor Anaswara Rajan, who is set to play a prominent character in the movie, also graced the occasion. Vijay Karthik Kannan of Jailerfame is the cinematographer while Thaman S is the music composer for the movie. Antony L Ruben is the editor and Kolla Avinash is the art director. Mega 158is produced by Venkat K Narayan.
On May 17, 2026 (Saturday), Chiranjeevi was seen preparing for the movie with a rigorous gym training session. The makers released a special video which showed the superstar’s intense workout sessions. “Charged up and excited for another memorable journey with my dear Bobby Kolli,” Chiranjeevi wrote on Xsharing the video.
The project was announced in August 2025. The makers announced the project with a concept-poster. The poster showed an axe cutting a wall, with the line, “The blade that set the bloody benchmark.”

Chiranjeevi and Bobby Kolli last collaborated for Waltair Veeraya,produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Bobby Kolli’s previous directorial is Daaku Maharaaj,starring Nandamuri Balakrishna. The film released on January 12, 2025.
