Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta presented the “Best Recovery” award to Superintendent of Police K. Pratap Shiva Kishore for achieving the highest recovery of lost mobile phones in the State and returning them to their owners, at the A.P. Police Headquarters on Friday (May 8, 2026).
“Eluru district police are in the forefront in using technology. By using Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) police traced lost mobile phones,” Mr. Harish Kumar Gupta said and appreciated the technical team.
Mr. Pratap Shiva Kishore said that under ‘Operation Restore,’ lost cell phones are being traced and will be handed over to their owners at their doorstep. The SP appealed to the public to register complaints at the nearest police station or through the web portal if they lose their mobile phones, and to make use of the services provided by the police.
