Elon Musk is back to turning wheels with Tesla. On Thursday, the electric automaker released a branded, $225 pedal-less bike for toddlers, called the Balance Bike for Kids. This marked the brand’s official entry into the two-wheeler business while also offering parents a more attainable entry point into Tesla’s ecosystem.

The company already sells a $1,500 ride-on Cybertruck for kids, a $1,650 Cyberquad, children’s clothes, and an Optimus action figure. Tesla previously partnered with Radio Flyer to design the Tesla Model S for Kids, which has since been discontinued, but you can still buy parts for it.But Tesla’s version is more expensive than many entry-level options in the sector which typically cost between $50 and $120. Its price is comparable to some higher-end children’s bikes, like the $250 Woom Go or the $249 Guardian Balance Bike.

Either the bike is extremely valuable as a collector’s item or sellers are contributing to the demand for one of Tesla’s wildest non-car releases in 2026.But with the brand, such a reaction is not unexpected. The Cyberwhistle, a stainless steel whistle modelled after the Cybertruck is still being resold on eBay as a collector’s item for more than its $50 original price. Event-exclusive gear is easily resold for double to triple its original pricing. It is all symbolic of the strong hold that Tesla has on the market despite years of controversy due to its CEO Musk.
