In his post, Arya revealed that before moving to Bengaluru, he had worked in Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi NCR during his 15-year career. While each city had “its own charm”, he said none had matched the professional growth he experienced in Bengaluru.
“It’s been four years since I moved to Bengaluru, and I can honestly say this city has given me more than I ever imagined,” he wrote.
Arya said that in just four years, he had witnessed remarkable career growth through better job opportunities, salary progression, meaningful networking, close interactions with industry leaders, and invitations to industry events, talks and conferences. He added that Bengaluru had also become “a great home to come back to.”
Clarifying that the post was not meant to compare cities, he called it “simply a note of deep gratitude.” He acknowledged Bengaluru’s familiar issues, including traffic and infrastructure, but said that beyond those everyday complaints lies “an ocean of endless opportunities.”
Reflecting on his journey, Arya admitted that he sometimes regrets not moving to the city earlier, saying he had turned down opportunities to relocate because of personal reasons. He then used a simple analogy to explain how location can influence professional growth.
“A water bottle costs Rs 10 at a railway station, Rs 100 at an airport, and Rs 500 in a five-star hotel,” he wrote. “For me, Bengaluru is that place where my value has grown tremendously.”
Calling it the “Silicon Valley of India”, he concluded by saying he was grateful to be part of the city’s continuing transformation.
