Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday (July 3, 2026) launched the Delhi EV Subsidy Portal, through which eligible beneficiaries can apply for subsidies within 30 days of purchasing their vehicle and receiving the Registration Certificate (RC).
Ms. Gupta said that the government aims to transfer the subsidy directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) within 60 days.
“Delhi EV Subsidy Portal has been designed to be simple, fast, transparent and completely digital, enabling eligible citizens to access all services from home. The entire process has been made paperless, transparent and citizen-centric,” the CM said at a programme held at the Delhi Secretariat. She also unveiled the official booklet of the Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy 2026 and said that the Delhi Government is committed to building a clean, modern and sustainable transport system.

The portal will allow citizens and institutions to apply online from home for electric vehicle purchase incentives and other benefits. Applicants will be able to track the status of their applications in real time at every stage, ensuring transparency. Essential documents such as Aadhaar, the vehicle Registration Certificate (RC) and Voter ID can be securely uploaded online, while institutions will also be able to upload GSTIN, PAN and bank account details.

The portal will also serve as a single platform for all key information related to the Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy 2026, including eligibility criteria, subsidies for different vehicle categories, the list of approved EV models, required documents, the application process and other important guidelines.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister called upon vehicle manufacturers, dealers, scrapping centres, power distribution companies and all stakeholders to actively support the expansion of the charging network and make affordable EV models available. “To support this transition, the Delhi Government will develop more than 32,000 public EV charging points across the city by 2030, ensuring convenient and reliable charging facilities for citizens throughout Delhi,” the CM said.
