Social media erupted with excitement soon after the first look of Rajinikanth’s Dharman was unveiled, with fans praising the superstar’s intense new avatar and the film’s gritty visual style. Many called it a perfect mass introduction for the Jailer actor’s next outing, while others hailed it as one of his most striking first looks in recent years.
The makers unveiled the first-look poster of Dharman at a grand launch event on Wednesday, with producer Kamal Haasan revealing the title. The newly released poster presents Rajinikanth in a fierce and commanding avatar. Sporting a rugged appearance, the superstar is seen with blood-stained hands and a striking smile that hints at a dangerous and powerful character.

Dharman first look: Fans react
One fan wrote on X, “This isn’t just a first look this is a warning. That one smile, those blood-stained hands, and that killer stance are enough to send chills. Rajinikanth in beast mode, the aura, the attitude, the madness Dharman already feels like a storm. Vintage Thalaivar with a deadly new vibe, proving once again why he is beyond generations (sic).”

About Dharman: Cast and crew
Dharman is directed by Ashwath Marimuthu of Dragon fame and produced by Kamal Haasan under the Raaj Kamal Films International banner. At the launch event, Ashwath described the film as a blend of Padayappa and Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu.
The film stars Rajinikanth in the lead role alongside Simran and Raashi Khanna. The technical crew includes Anirudh Ravichander as music composer, Niketh Bommi as cinematographer and Pradeep E Ragav as editor. Action choreographer duo Anbariv are also part of the project.
While the makers have kept the story under wraps, Dharman is already being touted as one of the most anticipated Tamil films currently in production.
