The Group G match between Uruguay and Cabo Verde is under way at the Miami stadium in Miami Gardens, on Sunday.
Uruguay were held to a 1-1 draw in their Group H World Cup opener against Saudi Arabia after Abdulelah Al Amri’s opener for the Gulf nation was cancelled out by Maxi Araujo in a game where both sides profited from goalkeeping errors.
Cabo Verde announced themselves on the World Cup stage with a stunning 0-0 draw against Spain, frustrating the European champions who dominated possession and had 27 goal attempts but could find no way past 40-year-old keeper Vozinha.
The FIFA World Cup began on June 10 and ends with the final on July 20.
