Ram Charan’s latest blockbuster, Peddi, has added another milestone to its theatrical run. The sports action drama crossed the Rs 200 crore nett mark in its original Telugu version in just 14 days, becoming only the ninth Telugu film to achieve the feat. According to trade website Sacnilk, Peddi has earned Rs 200.48 crore nett in Telugu alone. The film’s overall India nett collection stands at Rs 226 crore, while its gross domestic collection is estimated at Rs 267 crore.
With Peddi collecting Rs 200.48 crore nett in Telugu in just 14 days, Ram Charan’s sports drama has become only the ninth Telugu film in history to breach the coveted Rs 200 crore mark in its original language, joining blockbusters such as RRR, Pushpa 2: The Rule, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Kalki 2898 AD.

Meanwhile, the makers announced on social media that Peddihas crossed the Rs 400 crore mark worldwide, making it the highest-grossing South Indian film of 2026. The film has maintained a strong hold at the box office since its release, drawing audiences across regions and receiving widespread appreciation for its emotional storytelling and performances.

During an interview with India Today, Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar, who plays Ram Charan’s wrestling coach Gournaidu in the film, expressed his admiration for the actor’s performance. “I hope everybody loves this film (Peddi) and I was just saying this to Ram Charan sir that he should get a National Award for this. I’m actually praying for that. I had told this about Allu Arjun sir after watching Pushpa, that I’m keeping my fingers crossed and praying like that,” he said.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi follows the journey of a young man from a rural backdrop who overcomes personal and social challenges through sport and resilience. The film blends action, drama and emotional beats, with Ram Charan’s transformation and performance emerging as major talking points among audiences and fans.
Apart from Ram Charan and Shiva Rajkumar, the film also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Divyendu Sharma and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles. The film features music by AR Rahman, cinematography by R Rathnavelu and editing by Navin Nooli.
With Peddi continuing its run at the box office and crossing the coveted Rs 200 crore mark in Telugu alone, the film has further cemented Ram Charan’s standing as one of Indian cinema’s biggest stars and has emerged as one of the biggest theatrical grossers of 2026.
