The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave warning in nine Telangana districts for Wednesday.
According to IMD’s latest bulletin, heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail in isolated pockets of Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts.
It also forecast thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds are very likely to occur at isolated places in Mancherial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal and Hanumakonda districts.
Hyderabad and its surrounding areas for the next 24 hours will see a partly cloudy sky. “Light rain or thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds are very likely to occur in parts of the city towards evening or night. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 38C and 26C, respectively,” the bulletin said.
