Yoga is an invaluable heritage passed down through generations, and people should make it an integral part of their daily lives, said NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha.

Participating in a yoga session organised at Pavitra Sangamam in Ibrahimpatnam on Wednesday, the Collector said the programme was conducted as part of the tourism-themed yoga initiative being organised ahead of International Yoga Day.

Mylavaram MLA Vasantha Venkata Krishna Prasad said special programmes were being organised not only to create awareness about yoga but also to showcase the importance and uniqueness of tourist destinations. Kondapalli and the Mylavaram-Mulapadu region are the lungs of the new capital region and need to be protected, he said.
