Prasidh Krishna has replaced Mohammed Siraj in India’s squads for the upcoming T20I series against Ireland and England.
The decision to rest Siraj was taken following discussions between the team management and the medical team, a BCCI release stated on Tuesday (June 9, 2026). “The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure adequate recovery ahead of a long international season,” the release said.
In India’s thumping win over Afghanistan in the just-concluded Test in New Chandigarh, Siraj bowled 13 overs across the two innings. The 32-year-old is not part of the ODI squad for the upcoming three-match series against Afghanistan.
Prasidh has played five T20Is so far.
India’s tour begins with two T20Is in Ireland on June 26 and 28, followed by a five-match series against England from July 1 to 11.
