The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced the suspension of Namma Metro services on a section of the Purple Line for two hours on May 31, to facilitate essential maintenance works between Attiguppe and Vijayanagar stations.
According to a press release issued by the BMRCL on Friday, metro train services between Deepanjali Nagar and Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna (KSR) Metro Stations will remain suspended on Sunday from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. The temporary curtailment is necessary to carry out maintenance activities on the affected stretch of the Purple Line.
Despite the disruption on this section, metro services will continue to operate as per the regular timetable on other stretches of the network. Trains will run between Challaghatta and Mysuru Road, Kempegowda (Majestic) and Whitefield (Kadugodi), Madavara and Silk Institute, and R.V. Road and Bommasandra from 7 a.m. onwards.
The BMRCL stated that normal services across the entire Purple Line, including the affected section between Deepanjali Nagar and KSR Metro stations, will resume from 9 a.m. the same day.
The BMRCL has advised commuters to take note of the temporary disruption and make alternative travel arrangements if required during the maintenance period.
