With Assembly elections in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu, several parts of Bengaluru witnessed severe congestion at railway stations and bus terminals over the past few days as many migrant workers made plans to return home to vote.
The rush resulted in many passengers missing scheduled trains and buses, while others were forced to pay exorbitant fares or devise last-minute travel arrangements amid limited transport availability.
