In the past three months, the Mysuru City Police have cracked 41 property theft cases and three fraud cases.
Addressing a press conference in Mysuru on Monday, City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar said the police have also recovered property worth ₹2.09 crore, including 1.578 kg of gold ornaments, 3.58 kg of silver articles, 10 vehicles, ₹2,76,786 in cash and other stolen property.
The detection of one case pertaining to a conspiracy to commit dacoity, two robbery cases, ten house-breaking cases, nine house burglary cases, four thefts by domestic workers, ten vehicle thefts, five ordinary thefts and three fraud cases.
A total of 55 accused persons have been arrested in connection with these cases.
Ms. Latkar handed over a few gold jewellery items to the owners, who had produced documents to ascertain their ownership of the stolen items.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Sundar Raj and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Harsha Priyamvada were also present at the property parade organised by the city police on Monday.
