
Netflix India unveiled a diverse line up of films and shows for 2026 at the ‘Next on Netflix’ event in Mumbai today (February 3, 2026). The star-studded event was held at the JW Marriott, Juhu, and was attended by Anil Kapoor, Sunny Deol, Vikrant Massey, Madhuri Dixit, R. Madhavan, Bhuvan Bam, Manoj Bajpayee, Vijay Varma, Dia Mirza, Vishal Bhardwaj, Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao and more.
The big announcement in films came with Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna’s legal drama, Ikka, where the two have an intense face-off in the courtroom. Apart from that, Saif Ali Khan and Pratik Gandhi have teamed up for a thrilling period-drama, Hum Hindustani, based on true events following India’s partition. The streamer’s celebrated anthology film, Lust Stories returns for the third part with directors Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra, and Vishal Bhardwaj helming diverse stories.
On the web-series front, the streamer announced a host of intriguing shows, including, Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma’s, Family Business, directed by Hansal Mehta; Legacy, R Madhavan’s violent action-thriller, also starring Abhishek Banerjee, Nimisha Sajayan, Gautham Karthik and Gulshan Devaiah; Vikrant Massey’s romantic-drama Musaafir Cafe and more.

1)Ikka
Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna collaborate for a hard-hitting legal drama, Ikka, helmed by Maharaj director Siddharth P. Malhotra. Written by Althea Kaushal and Mayank Tewari, the film also stars Dia Mirza, Tillotama Shome, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Shishir Sharma and Akansha Ranjan in pivotal roles.
The teaser shows Sunny and Akshaye having an intense face-off in the courtroom.
Speaking about the film, the team shared, “This deeply personal script nurtured for years unfolds as a riveting face-off between two arch-rivals: a top lawyer forced to defend the man whose past with him and his wife hold many painful memories. Brace for a relentless thriller packed with emotional depth, a father’s unyielding quest to shield his family, even at the cost of his principles, in a deal with the devil.”
2) Hum Hindustani
Saif Ali Khan and Pratik Gandhi star in writer-director Rahul Dholakia’s Hum Hindustani, a story inspired by true events from India’s first election. Produced by Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani, the film also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Mimi Chakraborty, Sarika and Shraddha Dangar in pivotal roles.
The first look of the film was unveiled where Saif plays a dedicated government official in independent India who is determined to conduct India’s first election. Pratik plays a police officer, who vows to perform his duty during the historic moment.
Speaking about the show, the team said, “Telling the story of the country’s first democratic election through the eyes of those on the ground has been both a responsibility and a privilege. It is a story of belief, courage and collective effort that shaped the nation we know today.”
3) Ghooskhor Pandat
Manoj Bajpayee and Neeraj Pandey reunite for a gritty thriller, Ghooskhor Pandat, which tells the story of a morally corrupt cop who finds himself in the midst of a global conspiracy while trying to unravel the identity of a badly injured girl thrown out of a moving car in the heart of Delhi.
Written by Ritesh Shah and Neeraj (also producer), the film is directed by Ritesh and also stars Nushrat Bharuccha, Saqib Saleem, Akshay Oberoi, Divya Dutta in pivotal roles.
4) Lust Stories 3
Lust Stories returns on Netflix for the third time with four new chapters helmed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra, and Vishal Bhardwaj. The anthology explores lust, love, relationships, and repressed desire, offering fresh perspectives on intimacy, longing, and human connection in all their complexity.
The film stars Radhika Apte, Konkona Sen Sharma, Vijay Varma and Abhishek Banerjee, Gurfateh Pirzada, Sana Thampi, Ali Fazal, Radhika Madan, Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth.
5) Maa Behen
Madhuri Dixit, Ravi Kishan and Triptii Dimri come together for a quirky crime-drama, Maa Behen. The film is written by Pooja Tolani and directed by Suresh Triveni.

The film’s synopsis reads, “When Rekha and her daughters, Jaya and Sushma find themselves in the middle of a situation with a dead body in their kitchen, the perpetually struggling, constantly squabbling ‘Maa-Behen’ trio must team up to cover up the ‘crime’.

1) Family Business
Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma team up with Hansal Mehta for a thrilling series about a visionary billionaire grooming a rising tycoon to take over the reins of India’s largest conglomerate as his successor.
Directed by Hansal, who has co-created it with Niren Bhatt, Family Business also stars Akash Khurana, Rhea Chakraborty, Neha Dhupia, Anant Nag, Kanwaljit Singh, Dhruv Sehgal, Nandish Sandhu, Tina Desai, Rohan Mehra, Kamal Sadanah, Raima Sen, Inayat Sood and Madhoo Shah in pivotal roles.

The official synopsis shared by the streamer reads, “Family Business explores the deeply complicated and messy personal relationships that define every boardroom battle of a family of tycoons. What happens when inheritance becomes expectation, and legacies collide?”
2) Super Subbu
The streamer unveiled a short promo of its first Telugu series, Super Subbu, starring Sundeep Kishan and Mithila Palkar in the lead. It is directed by Mallik Ram, who has also written it with Ramesh Eligeti.
The logline of the show reads, “A totally unlucky teacher, desperate to escape his dad’s tyranny, gets stuck teaching sex education in a remote and virile village! The hilarious twist? He’s a virgin himself! Thus ensues a wild ride where love, laughs, and awkward moments collide.”

It also stars Murali Sharma, Maanasa Choudhary and Getup Srinu in pivotal roles.
3) Dhindora 2
Bhuvan Bam’s comedy-drama, Dhindora, which was previously on YouTube, has found its home on Netflix. Dhindora 2 is written by Bhuvan along with Abbas Dalal, Hussain Dalal, Chetan Dange, Gopal Dutt, Shubham Dubey and Anant Dubey.
The show will bring together a host of quirky characters created by Bhuvan. “India’s biggest digital creator Bhuvan Bam returns with his crazy family, and Titu Mama drags them all into a world of pride, panic, and poor planning. Will he emerge as a hero, or should you lower your expectations?”, read the show’s synopsis.
Speaking about it, the team shared, “What began on YouTube as a deeply relatable, character-driven comedy has grown into a larger, more layered story, while staying true to the humour, heart, and chaos that define the Dhindora universe. Bringing the series to Netflix allows us to introduce these characters and their journey to an even wider audience, while retaining the cultural specificity and storytelling voice that made the show resonate so strongly.”
4) Musafir Cafe
Vikrant Massey headlines this breezy romantic-drama that is based on the book, Musafir Cafe, by Divya Prakash Dubey. Created and written by Sharanya Rajgopal and directed by Ruchir Arun, the show also stars Vedika Pinto, Mahima Makwana, Adil Hussain, Rajeev Siddhartha, Anubha Fatehpuria, Loveleen Mishra and Sadia Siddiqui in pivotal roles.
The streamer unveiled a first look of the series, where the lives of three characters, Chander, Sudha and Preeti, intertwine in unexpected ways at a cozy cafe in the mountains. Chander and Sudha share an instant connection while with Preeti, Chander builds something steadier and comforting. “In this timeless journey filled with romance, passion and possibility, which love will endure time, ambition, and the long journey of life?,” read a portion of the synopsis.
5) Hello Bachhon
Vineet Kumar Singh leads TVF’s upcoming show inspired by the true story of Alakh Pandey, the founder of ed-tech company Physics Wallah.
Created by Abhishek Yadav, who has written it with Ankit Yadav, Vernaali and Sandeep Singh, the show has been directed by Pratish Mehta. It also stars Vikram Kochhar and Girija Oak Godbole in pivotal roles.
A first look of the show was unveiled which gave a glimpse into its world where Vineet is seen playing the likeable physics teacher, who has an inimitable approach towards teaching.
“Hello Bachhon is the uplifting story of how a single teacher standing up against the system can build a nation with his students,” read the logline shared by the makers.
Speaking about the show, the team shared, “Through Alakh Pandey’s journey, we explore the emotional and ethical battles behind building something meaningful in a system driven by pressure, competition, and commerce. Partnering with Netflix allows us to take this deeply Indian story to audiences everywhere, celebrating the millions of students who carry dreams heavier than their circumstances, and the educators who choose purpose over power every single day.”
6) Legacy
R. Madhavan headlines the action-thriller, Legacy, where he plays an ageing gangster fighting to save his empire and family. Directed by Charukesh Sekar, the Tamil series also stars Abhishek Banerjee, Nimisha Sajayan, Gautham Karthik and Gulshan Devaiah in pivotal roles.
It boasts of an original score composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
The show’s action-packed teaser features Madhavan taking on the role of the dreaded gangster, Periyavar, who fights to save his legacy. Standing against him is a violent goon, played by Abhishek.
“Set within a formidable crime world, the series examines how ambition, loyalty and blood ties collide when the future of an empire hangs in the balance,” read a statement from the team.
7) Chumbak
From the makers of crackling comedy shows, Khichdi and Sarabhai vs Sarabhai comes another laugh riot, Chumbak.
The show’s synopsis reads, “Alongside a young author and an eccentric family support group, we take a hilarious, mirthful look into the lives of people who laugh, eat, drink, make merry, shed tears and share their lives together as neighbours living in an old row-house neighbourhood in Mumbai.”
Chumbak stars Neena Gupta, Deven Bhojani, Amyra Dastur, Anant V Joshi, Sumeet Vyas, Manasi Parekh, Arjun Bijlani, Helly Shah, Sumeet Raghavan and Sandeepa Dhar. It is written and directed by Aatish Kapadia, who has also produced it with JD Majethia.
8) Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hai
Netflix unveiled a motion poster of a romantic-thriller, Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hai, where a desperate choice draws millionaire Zorawar into a devil’s pact and tragedy drives Samarjeet Behl into a relentless quest for vengeance.
“In between these two men, drawn into their spiral of conflict, stands Chahat who is seeking dangerous answers. Blurring the boundaries between morality and compulsion, this is a saga where passion and love collide and boundaries between right and wrong begin to blur,” read the synopsis.
Written by Nilanjana Purkayasstha, Paromita Ghosh, Pranjal Saxena and Shashank Kunwar and directed by Kapil Sharma, the series is set against the machinery of organ trafficking, as it examines desire, moral collapse, and the thin line between devotion and destruction.
9) Mismatched season 4
The final season of the much-loved romantic-drama, Mismatched will be streaming on the platform this year. As per the makers, “Season 4 explores what happens when two people who thought they’d said their final goodbye are pulled back into each other’s orbit.”

10) Maamla Legal Hai season 2
Headlined by Ravi Kishan, the courtroom comedy returns for a new season. This time, V.D. Tyagi (Ravi) is appointed as the judge as he comes face-to-face with the reality of the profession while the quirky lawyers of Patparganj Court bring bizarre cases, odd clients, and personal drama to the front.

Parineeti Chopra stars in this crime-thriller directed by Resil D’Silva which tells an intense story of a mother going against all odds to search for her missing daughter, 8 years after she was kidnapped.

12) Operation Safed Sagar
The teaser of Siddharth’s upcoming series, Operation Safed Sagar was unveiled during the event, giving a glimpse into the show which is set during the Kargil war and tells the story from the perspective of Air Force officers.
Speaking about the show, the makers said, “Rooted in true events, the series goes beyond battlefield strategy to explore sacrifice, transformation, and the human cost of bravery at impossible altitudes. With the support of the Indian Air Force, we have sought to tell this story with authenticity and deep respect for the pilots who pushed beyond their limits for the nation.”

1) The Great Indian Kapil Show season 5
Kapil Sharma’s comedy talk show, The Great Indian Kapil Show returns with the fifth season, “expanding its universe into a riotous new ‘mastiverse’ of laughter and surprises”.
