Kent Police on Wednesday arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of rape after a woman was allegedly assaulted near a church in Maidstone, according to a report by The Sun.Police said they had received a report late on Saturday that “a woman had been raped by a man she met earlier that evening”.According to the report, the alleged assault took place at two separate locations between 7 pm and 10 pm, first at a venue on the high street and later near a church in the town.Police said the suspect remains in custody while enquiries continue.
