Tamil Nadu State Board exam results for Class 12 will be declared on Friday (May 8, 2026) at 9.30 a.m., announced School Education Secretary B. Chandra Mohan on Thursday (May 7, 2026).
As many as 8,16,289 students had written the Class 12 exams, which began on March 2 and ended on March 26. While the department had previously announced that the results would be postponed as results were still being processed, it will now be announced as scheduled. Sources in the department had added that it was being postponed due to the delay in government formation.
Students can access their results from www.tnresults.nic.in, www.dge.tn.gov.in or results.digilocker.gov.in. According to a press release, school students can also obtain their results from their respective schools. “The results will also be sent through SMS to the mobile numbers furnished in the undertaking forms submitted by school students through their schools, and to the mobile numbers provided by private candidates at the time of online application,” the release said.
In a first, the department with the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency has created an avenue to view results through WhatsApp. The candidates should send a hi to 7845252525. Students can then reply to the message with their department name and the class of examination. Thereafter, by entering and sending their registration number and date of birth in the reply, candidates may obtain their examination results.
