A newly constructed road underbridge at Vasco-da-Gama which serves as a vital link connecting Vasco city with Dabolim Airport, Madgaon, and other parts of South Goa was inaugurated by Chief Minister of Goa Pramod Sawant on Wednesday.
Speaking after inaugurating the facility, Mr. Sawant said that the underbridge is a significant step towards improving urban mobility and ensuring safer, faster connectivity for the people of Goa.
“It reflects our commitment to modern infrastructure and public convenience,” he said.
Rajya Sabha member Sadanand Shet Tanawade, Goa Ministers Ramesh Tawadkar and Mauvin H. Godinho, MLAs Krishna V. Salkar and Sankalp Amonkar, Divisional Railway Manager of Hubballi Division of South Western Railway Bela Meena and senior officials were present.
The upgraded underpass with 4.0 m vertical clearance enables ambulances, fire engines and other emergency vehicles to pass through freely, eliminating the need for a 12-km detour, a release from South Western Railway said.
